Description
PaintPlus Masonry Sealer is a waterborne sealer specifically formulated for cementitious substrates. It is formulated with polymers specifically designed to combat the alkalis predominant in cementitious substrates.
Product features:
Alkali resistance means the stand down period before commencing painting on new cement can be reduced.
Has outstanding adhesion and sealing properties, which ensures the longevity of the paint system
Waterborne – may be applied to damp substrates
Free flowing to penetrate surface imperfections and fissures
Colour:
Standard colour is white, tinting not recommended

Surface preparation:
General preparation of the surface to be painted should be completed before commencing application.
Weathered surfaces should be water-blasted.
The surface must be clean and free of contaminants.
All loose material such as peeling, flaking paint or poorly adhering substrate should be removed and surface damage or imperfections made good.
Tilt slab Any glossy areas should be prepped by acid etching or grinding.
Thoroughly cleanse with a water-blaster or a soft brush and hose to remove release agent residues and loose particles.
After cleaning allow to dry before application of coating system.
New concrete walls, brick and block work, plaster and stucco Allow new work to weather for at least 7 days before application.
Thoroughly cleanse with a soft brush and water to remove residues and loose particles. Thin as specified to aid penetration.
Application schedule:
Touch dry 15 minutes
Re-coat time (minimum) 2 hours
Practical coverage 12–16 square meters per litre
Dry film thickness @ 12 square meters per litre 28 microns per coat
Required number of coats – 1
Application is not recommended if the surface and/ or air temperature is less than 10˚C or is liable to fall below 10˚C during the drying period.
